My analysis on the
key concepts of development and/or communication that led to the project’s
success or failure:
This Program truly helps those unfortunate Filipinos but many
issues tell that this program is not good enough to be implemented because of
lacking of knowledge that’s the reason why they are encountering many problems
now so we can’t consider this as a successful project.
I've watched on the television
a documentary report about this 4p’s, it stated there that not all the poor
Filipinos are given the chance to benefit from this program especially those people
from very far provinces.

Giving the people access
also means giving the opportunities to air their views and complaints about a
project. I think this project didn't provide an access to all target audiences.
It would be better if the implementer of this program gather more information
about the beneficiaries who will need this program the most. We all know that
corruption is rampant in our country. And so, there's no doubt if some of the
politicians would be the real beneficiaries of this program. They should always
upgrade and inform the public about the nature and dynamics of the program as
well as its new developments as part of transparency and public relations
strategy so that the people will be aware and updated.
However, we should not always focus on the implementer of
this project. 4p’s could also be successful if the concept of mobilization is used. The program is
not alms-giving because it has established conditions and requirements which the
beneficiaries need to comply. It means, those members should also be on the
move, this program is very much appropriate for Filipinos e.specially for those
who have a big family but can’t afford to feed their children, on the contrary,
this would add up to the “laziness” of the Filipinos in the sense that they
would just depend on the 4 p’s rather than find their own job to sustain their
needs. As a matter of fact, one of my aunts benefits from this. It really
improved the quality of their lives. She can now send her children to school
regularly. On the other hand, her husband became more alcoholic because he can
now afford to buy liquors from the money they get from this program.
Self-reliance is
also very important in this program. Beneficiaries should learn to depend on
themselves for their food and income. The money that this project provides is
not enough to sustain the basic needs; they have to use money wisely and think
of other things that can help them to meet their daily needs.
